Bob’s overland adventures began in an ancient (1949) Land Rover, which he drove from England to Kathmandu way back in 1974, before he even thought about settling down into a ‘proper job’ like writing guidebooks for Bradt! He subsequently worked as an overland driver, travelling extensively all over Asia, Africa and South America, driving trucks as well as decrepit old buses in India and Nepal.
