Bio
Neil is co-author, with his wife Helen, of Bradt’s The Chilterns & The Thames Valley (Slow Travel) and Heritage Weekends: 52 Breaks Exploring Britain’s Past, and they are the updaters of the second edition of Freedom Pass London. Their travel writing has also appeared in Wanderlust and other publications. They live in the Chilterns, on Greater London’s northwestern edge. Neil is an experienced marketer whose roles have included developing public support for UK heritage attractions. Pen & Sword published Neil’s Victorians and Edwardians Abroad: the Beginning of the Modern Holiday (2016), which was based on his PhD.
